Burns CD out now - 'Gammel Venskab. Robert Burns i Danmark.'​​


​Scotia Nostra (Steffan Sørensen, Peter Eget, Christopher Davis Maack, Rod Sinclair og Stig Bang-Mortensen) has recorded a CD with the Danish titel "Gammel Venskab - Robert Burns i Danmark". A mix of newly composed songs as well as traditional Burns material. It celebrates the 20 anniversary for the Burns Night tours in Denmark, which these gentlemen have been involved in

The CD was released in late August at Hagges Pub in Tønder in connection with the Tønder Festival. The lads played a few tunes and - everybody who purchased the CD, was given a free beer from the bar!

New trio: Ransvik!

​Take a Swedish singer-songwriter, a Danish guitar virtuoso and a Scots singer and multi-intrumentalist. You’ll be richly entertained by the result: Swedish lyrical ballads, world-class guitar instrumentals and Scots songs, all with a Scandinavian touch.

The songs can be touchingly metaphorical, bitterly historical, laughably topical: an evening of song and music that translates traditional genres, drawing on the music and tales we share across the North Sea, on the beauty of stringed instruments of many styles, from Mediterranean, Baltic and TransAtlantic travels, and on the wealth of long careers in professional music.
Anna Wirsén, Christian Alvad and Rod Sinclair have all seen international success in their musical careers, and are now enjoying the combined fruits of the years.

Here (below) is a videorecording from the Berlin show, Nov 2013. For the month of November, Rod has been  playing most of the largest venues in Europe, including Forum, Kbh and Boxen, Herning! Since Rod plays banjo on one of the tunes "Doc Holliday", on Volbeats 2013 album, they had asked him to join them on the 2nd half of their tour that year!

The two friends played 10 concerts in 13 days all across the country. 
​For the first three concerts, they were joined by the young Scottish talent Ewan McLennan.

Trio with Elke & Ole West

Rod recently performed a series of concerts in Northern Germany together with Elke & Ole West. Rod and Ole have collaborated on several occasions. One succesful artistic collaboration was when Ole illustrated the travel/cook book "Meal Ticket", written by Rod and published in 2012

Den2Radio (The Other Radio)

Rod Sinclair, has together with Alan Klitgaard made a radio show for Den2Radio (The other radio ..) They talk about Rod's many activities and plans, including the Meal Ticket book project, The Seascape wadden sea CD and the 2012 Volbeat tour, where Rod played banjo at all the largest venues throughout Europe.
