Rod Sinclair, from Fife, Scotland, now living in Denmark, has sung his songs and played guitar and 5-string banjo all over the world. He contributed to every Tønder Festival, from 1985-1990 as artistic director. With some of Denmark's leading young musicians, Rod provided original music and songs for the Royal Inauguration of Denmark's biggest national park, the Wadden Sea. He’s toured Denmark with Dick Gaughan, fiddle player Brian McNeill and with Danish guitar virtuoso Christian Alvad. Among Rod's many albums is a collection of songs by Robert Burns, "Gammel Venskab - Robert Burns i Danmark", from 2020.

Musician and songwriter Paul Kaplan has been an enthusiastic participant in the folk music world since the late 1960s. His songs “I Had an Old Coat,” “Henry the Accountant,” “Call Me the Whale,” and many others have been covered by such musical legends as Jay Ungar and Molly Mason, Sharon, Lois and Bram (Nickelodeon’s “Elephant Show”), Sally Rogers and Claudia Schmidt, Priscilla Herdman, Ed McCurdy, and Lui Collins. Paul’s song “Vietnam” appears in the Grammy-nominated Best of Broadside, along with singers such as Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton, Pete Seeger, etc.
Pete Seeger said “I am a big fan of Paul Kaplan. I love his singing; I love his songs.”

REVIEWS
“Paul Kaplan and Rod Sinclair bring warmth and comfort on a cold autumn evening with their accomplished songs and stories from gentler times. The songs side with the powerless but are strong in their solidarity, love and trust in an alternative, better future. We are reminded what music can do, particularly in these times when a ceasefire seems a distant dream. A powerful concert! Songs of conviction, without prejudice or didactics. Songs that touch us with both bite and wit.”
Assistant professor, UC South Denmark. Mette Solkær

"In Rod's and Paul's friendly banter ... we heard about the interesting history of the songs and their own personal connections to the music, ranging from Scottish ballads and American folk music to their own compositions accompanied by guitars, harmonica, mandolin and banjo. The audience could easily feel Rod and Paul’s close affinity to the music throughout the two-hour concert, imparting to the listeners a special bond. A performance of unique warmth."
